HSC re-scrutiny applications opened on 1 November 2026 and run through 7 November. Results were published on 31 October. Students unhappy with subject marks can apply online only. The fee is Tk 150 per paper.
This guide covers eligibility, the online steps, mobile payment, SMS result format context, and how re-scrutiny differs from special failed-subject exams. Follow our education and results hubs for updates.
Why HSC re-scrutiny matters now
About 1,240,798 candidates sat HSC and equivalents under 11 boards; 646,685 passed (52.12%). GPA-5 went to 40,084 students. The lower pass rate left many families reviewing marksheets carefully.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said dissatisfied students may apply for re-scrutiny from 1–7 November 2026, online only. Re-scrutiny is not a new exam—it requests another look at answer scripts. Marks may rise, stay the same, or rarely fall.
How to apply for HSC re-scrutiny
Prepare board name, roll, registration, an active mobile number, and enough mobile-banking balance. Enter roll and registration on the designated portal, select the board, add your phone number for SMS alerts, tick subjects/papers, then pay Tk 150 per paper via bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay or Sonali options shown on the gateway.

For two-paper subjects, apply for both papers if both are in doubt. Save payment screenshots. If the network drops, refresh status before paying twice.
Checking the original result
Use eduboardresults.gov.bd, educationboardresults.gov.bd, your board site, your college, or SMS to 16140 in the format like HSC Dha 123456 2026. Results are not distributed at ministry or newspaper offices.
Who should apply

Apply when marks are far below a confident performance or sit near a grade boundary. Do not apply only because peers are applying. About 422,905 candidates failed in one or two subjects; boards are planning a separate special exam window around December—that is not the same as re-scrutiny.
Class XI admission overlap
Class XI final-phase admission runs 2–3 November. Re-scrutiny outcomes may arrive later, so keep admission deadlines separate. See our admission topic. Also see news and our earlier garment wage board briefing for wider context.
